Henkel Construction Company and Accord Architecture were hired to design and build a new clinic connected to the hospital. The new 11,000 square foot medical clinic attaches directly to the north end of the hospital that Henkel and Accord completely renovated several years earlier. Important design features include a more efficient "pod" layout for providers, nurses and exam rooms. A new drive-under canopy was added to the main entrance to help define the main entry.

At Floyd County Hospital, Henkel has been providing construction management services for several years. Teaming with Accord Architecture Company, Henkel has delivered complete surgery and physical rehab areas, semi-private to private patient room conversion, new pharmacy, waiting, and nurse station areas and significant building systems upgrades.

Henkel partnered with Mercy Medical Center- North Iowa as their general contractor to complete a two story addition on top of their existing cancer center while the existing center remained in operation. The project has been a great success for the hospital.

Henkel provided Spencer Hospital with construction management services for their major new hospital addition and renovation projects. Henkel also conducted the architect selection process. The projects included eight new surgeries, new patient rooms, new building systems and upgrades, two special procedure rooms, a brand new lobby and new registration and waiting areas.

Critical access hospital renovation has become a specialty for Henkel. Palo Alto County Health System hired Henkel Construction and Accord Architecture to complete the planning, design and construction management for their latest multi-phased addition and renovation project. The project includes renovating the dietary area, a new long term care wing, entry area renovation, semi-private to private room conversion and significant systems upgrades.

Henkel Construction Company has been a true friend of Mercy Medical Center- North Iowa for more than 50 years. Over that time Henkel has partnered with the hospital to deliver projects ranging from department renovations to significant new construction and from the original bed tower to a modern day ambulatory surgery center.

Henkel teamed with Accord Architecture to renovate existing office and bank space into a welcoming and efficient blood donation and collection center on a design-build basis.

When faced with their first complicated addition and renovation project, Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton, Iowa called Henkel. The project involved complete renovation and relocation of several departments including surgery, rehabilitation, main nurse station and others. Henkel teamed with Accord Architecture to deliver a very creative multiphase project within the budget, ahead of schedule and with minimal impact to the ongoing operations.
